A reflective full-moon practice for seeing clearly what has grown, what has changed and what can be released.
The symbolism of fullness
The full moon has long invited stories of culmination and visibility. In contemporary ritual it is often used as a moment to look at what has reached its brightest point — not because moonlight solves problems, but because cycles can help us remember to pause.
Three questions
Write three headings: What grew? What surprised me? What am I carrying that no longer helps? Answer briefly and without trying to make the page beautiful.
Release without drama
You do not need to burn paper or perform anything hazardous. Tear up a sentence you want to release, recycle the paper, close the notebook, wash your hands — an ordinary physical action can mark an ending perfectly well.
Keep what matters
A release ritual is not about discarding every uncomfortable thing. Sometimes the useful discovery is precisely what should be kept: a boundary, a lesson, a new habit or a desire that has become clearer.
